An unprecedented legal battle …
Drake is once again in the heart ofA legal battle with Universal Music Group concerning le disstrack “Not Like Us” of Kendrick Lamar. This Friday, January 23, UMG filed a 144 -page request in Texasrequesting the rejection of the accusations of Drake, who accuses them of defamation, as well as Iheartradio, for having manipulated the charts in favor of Kendrick Lamar.
Last November, Drake had initially filed a complaint against UMG and Spotifysaying that they havewere used to boots to promote “not like us”.
UMG et Spotify had reacted by denying these accusationssaying that Drake had not provided enough evidence to support his allegations. In their request, They argue that the broadcast of “not like” is protected by the first amendmentwhich guarantees freedom of expression.
