KANSAS CITY | Don’t think the Taylor Swift craze has died down in Kansas City because the pop star has been dating tight end Travis Kelce for over a year now.

We’re no longer talking about a brand new couple, in the early stages of their romance, but marketers are still fully exploiting the story that fascinates Swifties and others.
As soon as I got off the plane at the airport, the first store on my way allowed me to see that love still reigns in Kansas City and that the stores are still profiting from the craze.
This sweater suggests that some people are only here for Taylor Swift.

We may leave the plane with both eyes in the same hole, but a facade reminds us that Kansas City made Taylor Swift its darling child. We notice sweaters decorated with phrases like “Go Taylor’s Boyfriend» with Travis Kelce’s number 87 or “I’m just here for Taylor (I’m here for Taylor).” In the Country Club Plaza district, two stores facing each other on each side of the street, the Rally House and the KC Style Haus, are also benefiting from the windfall.
“It’s going strong, we hope they won’t break up,” even told us a friendly saleswoman from this last boutique, where different items bearing the singer’s image abound.
The romance between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift still fascinates Kansas City merchants.

In just one short day in town, I’ve lost count of how many different Taylor Swift-referenced Chiefs jerseys are available.
Even the Boulevard microbrewery got in on the fun by selling sweaters adorned with the number 89, the year this beer producer was founded, but also the year of birth of the Chiefs star player and his artist sweetheart.
In short, far from hiding from this story, Kansas City, a city which usually has nothing glamorous, is taking responsibility and having fun with the situation!
Some stores are now having fun identifying Travis Kelce as Mr. Swift!

The city is Chiefs
We should also not imagine that Kansas City is only interested in the romance between Kelce and Swift. This is more anecdotal than anything else, even if the sellers in the temple benefit from it.
-In fact, it is once again for the Chiefs that the city is looking its best for the conference final which will be presented at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday for a sixth time.
Several recognized buildings in the city center, such as Union Station or the Marriott Hotel, are decorated in the colors of the Chiefs.
Kansas City businesses are resolutely behind the Chiefs.

Almost everywhere, businesses show their support for the Chiefs with clearly visible banners and in the evening, roofs or facades are lit in red. No doubt, we are in Chiefs country!
Roofs of buildings lit in red are everywhere in town.

In the kingdom of barbecue!
I end this little urban column by telling you that if you want to start a vegan diet in Kansas City, you may cry your eyes out.
Over time, this city has built a reputation as a barbecue kingdom. Restaurants where smoked meat is in the spotlight abound.
Everyone will have their preferences, whether it’s Q39, Char Bar, Arthur Bryant’s or Gates Bar-BQ, to name a few.
Jack Stack Barbecue is our reporter’s choice for great barbecue in Kansas City.

If a love of football or the Chiefs ever brings you to this Missouri town, my personal suggestion is Jack Stack Barbecue. A true institution, nothing less!
