For more than a year now, Michaël Youn and Isabelle Funaro have left Paris to settle far from the city and obviously, this change suits them well. Very attached to the capital, where he is a fervent supporter of the football team, the actor continues to go there for work and that is exactly what he is doing at the moment to promote his latest movie, The Gardeneran action film where he stars opposite Jean-Claude Van Damme and Élie Semoun. “I wanted to say in an interview with humor that I returned to live in the countryside and that I participated in the rebirth of rurality”, he said in the show Telematin a few months ago.
A quiet life with his partner and their two children, Seven and Stellar, on which the actor was willing to confide in the past. Although he had brilliant studies before embarking on the life of an artist, Michaël Youn clearly does not have the same patience with his children. “I gave up something obligatoryit’s homework!”he declared on the microphone of France Bleu, before adding: “It’s impossible to continue to get along with your children when you’re busy with homework because it stigmatizes all the tensions, all the problems! And everything comes from this equation with two unknowns… It’s easy, isn’t it?”
A family hug that smells of love
-If he is not really there to help them with their homework, Michaël Youn is nevertheless a very present father for his children. On Instagram this Tuesday, January 21, his partner Isabelle Funaro published a pretty photo which shows all the love that exists within their family. In the photo, we can see the actor giving a hug to Pascal Obispo’s ex and their two children. The 42-year-old actress adds the song, Love, love, love by Bon Entendeur and Mouloudji in his story (to be found in the slideshow).
If all is well today between the two lovers, there were more complicated periods. Michaël Youn spoke about his separation from Isabelle Funaro in an interview with the magazine Gala in 2020. “With Isabelle, we worked a lot, talked, communicated. It’s hard anyway. After ten years of living together, we say crude things to each other about what works and what no longer works. When we’re together for a long time, with jobs like ours where exuberance is required, it’s not easy, but you have to get through it. So yes, we worked a lot”he explained. And it paid off!
