Moment of tenderness on the 12 coups de midi set. Tuesday January 21, 2025 marks the anniversary of the first channel. “Today we are celebrating TF1’s 50th anniversary,” Jean-Luc Reichmann announced at the start of the show. But it was for a completely different occasion that Émilien made a very special request to one of the French’s favorite TV presenters. “So yesterday it was Blue Monday, the world day of depression. And today the joy and cheerfulness of celebrating 50 years [de TF1]. So was Blue Monday?” asked the presenter. “It was”, declared the candidate who was contesting his 481st participation and whose prize pool amounts to 1,962,115 euros, before adding in a tone mischievous: “But I think today is world cuddle day.” “No?”, his interlocutor replied visibly surprised “While I think to get over it…There is no question. there’s nothing better Jean-Luc”, continued the History student. To the laughter of the audience, Émilien then asked: “I would like, I think, to give you a hug”.
“Oh my little baby,” replied Jean-Luc Reichmann, touched by the unusual request. Émilien, in search of comfort, was therefore able to smile when the latter responded favorably to his request. There followed a moment of tenderness on the set during which the presenter and his star candidate then embraced each other in front of the eyes of the public, who also took part in the cuddling game afterwards.
