Coming to make a big announcement aimed at ensuring the serene continuity of the Moulin Rouge, Rachida Dati took the opportunity to visit the different workshops of this temple of cancan. She met several dancers, the singer Michèle Torr but also “the costume designer to the stars”, Mine Verges, a true cabaret legend.

On the occasion of this meeting, Virginie Clérico-Patsouris and Mine Verges each received from the hand of Rachida Dati, the insignia of the Order of Arts and Letters. During her speech, the Minister of Culture declared that she provided “support and recognition for cabaret”, an “art which embodies French culture and freedom”. As proof, the sum of 475,000 euros will be allocated to strengthening “the visibility of the cabaret”.
