“I became his second mistress!” Cécile Bois talks about Jean-Pierre, the dog from Made in France, the France 2 series

Wednesday January 22, at 9:05 p.m., 2 broadcasts the second evening of Made in Franceseries played by Cécile , Thierry Neuvic and Antonia Desplat. In this vaudeville transposed into the world of French luxury, a certain Jean-Pierre, an adorable little dog, causes a sensation. We asked Cécile Bois how he behaved during filming.

Since January 15, France 2 has been broadcasting Made in France (our opinion), one of its 2025 event series, with Cécile Bois, Thierry Neuvic and Antonia Desplat. Jean-Pierre, another particularly endearing character, is also in the cast… This is Arane’s bulldog (Jin Xuan Mao), artistic director of Maison Valières, a company specializing in luxury leather goods at the heart of which where the plot lies.

Made in France : Why did Cécile Bois try to change the name of the dog who plays with her in the France 2 series?

For Télé-Loisirs, Cécile Bois, who shares a certain number of scenes with him, talks about her meeting with this four-legged partner: “This is a dog belonging to an individual that Valérie (Search editor’s note), the trainer involved in the series, chose based on his personality. She doesn’t own any animals, but works with a number of them based on their personalities and the needs of the film, before returning them to their owners.”. With her company, Alule, it was she who, among others, was asked to train Maïko, Bruno Debrandt’s dog in the France 3 series The traveler. For the record, Cécile Bois told us with a smile that she had tried, in vain, to change the first name of this dog which reminded her of that of her companion… Jean-Pierre Michaël!

Made in France : “Jean-Pierre’s dog was much easier than Candice Renoir’s!” confides Cécile Bois with a smile

As for whether the Pug behaved like a good friend on the set, the actress seen recently in Reports answers : “Rather, yes. I am very attached to animals but, a priori, I prefer mongrels to purebreds. But I must say he was extremely kind. During filming, we had to give him some recovery time in his little dressing room, because between the world and the noise, he became saturated quite quickly. But Valérie told me that he loved filming! After the first two days of destabilization, explains Cécile Boishe loved being on set, seeing people and enjoying the caresses of the whole team. Very quickly, with the help of Valérie, I tried to create a bond with him and he understood very quickly. With his trainer, I quickly became his second mistress.” And the actress concludes: “He was much easier than Fun, Candice Renoir’s Australian Shepherd!”.
