It was revealed to the general public on October 12, in the Star Academy 2024. Marguerite Dedeyan tried her luck on the TF1 show and quickly made an impression. The public appreciated his artistic universe. She also had great qualities in theater. It must be said that she already had experience in comedy. A film in which she appears will be released soon, an opportunity for the director to say a little more about her participation.

Filming took place before the Star Academy 2024. And we can say that Marguerite Dedeyan already chooses her projects very well. She starred in the film Le Blend des genres, by Michel Leclerc (who notably directed People's Names). A film unveiled during the Alpe d'Huez festival, which ended on January 12. It stood out thanks to an acting award for its main male actor, Benjamin Lavernhe. The latter shares the bill with Léa Drucker, Julia Piaton, and Melha Bedia. But not only that! The former student of the TF1 talent show also has a role in the cinematographic work which tells the story of Simone, a policewoman with conservative ideas who is infiltrated into the feminist collective Hardies in order to investigate complicity in the murder of an abusive husband. And everything is not going to go as planned.

Marguerite star of a film which should spark debate

-

I'm actually starting from a cliché which is this story of false accusation, and I know well that it can be controversial. I think the film is much more complex than that. The film depicts different points of view which are embodied by different characters on this subject of feminism. I think the film gives cause for debate. That's how I've always seen cinema, that is to say approaching a subject and trying to express it through different characters, different points of view, so that everyone can position themselves in relation to the film . I really hope that it's a film where each viewer will come out with a different idea and perhaps leave with the desire to chat with their neighbor to find out who they feel closest to, if there is anything who hit him or not. And I am for the fact that when I see a film, it sends me back to something, possibly, a questioning, a debate. It’s a film that’s made for that. And which is a comedy first of all. I hope we have a pleasant time. And then, it’s a film, I hope, that sparks debate. He's really made for that.”notably entrusted the director to our colleagues atAllocinated.

Michel Leclerc also revealed how Marguerite Dedeyan was chosen to participate in this project: “It's quite funny becauseshe was the assistant to the person who was in charge of casting the supporting roles. She spoke to the actors and actresses we were casting. I thought she delivered the lines really well and was a really good actress. So, I offered him a role like that. I had absolutely no idea she was going to Star Academy, because it was before she did it. But I immediately noticed that she had something special, that she had a particular charm and that she had a particular ease. Especially something for comedy. So, I really chose her like that, not knowing at all that she was going to do Star Academy. She's a good actress, that's for sure. She really has a sense of rhythm. I got along very well with her, she is very funny.”

To discover the result, you will have to wait for the theatrical release on April 16.
