A Hollywood star riding a bike as he arrives for a big premiere. Timothée Chalamet caused a sensation this Tuesday in London on his Lime (the self-service bicycles in the British capital) for the presentation of his film “A Perfect Stranger”, a biopic in which he plays Bob Dylan.
But if some saw it as a political message in favor of the climate on an electric bike or a nod to Bob Dylan who had switched to the electric guitar, the actor revealed on the set of the show “Quotidien” the real reasons for this surprise. “There was no idea. There were lots of traffic jams, and I went faster on my bike, it happened like that,” he says with a smile on Yann Barthès’ show.
“I wasn’t allowed to park there”
But the story doesn’t end there. The star of the “Dune” and “Wonka” saga would have parked his mount incorrectly. “I wasn’t allowed to park there. So I got fined 65 pounds (or a little less than 80 euros)”, explains Timothée Chalamet, with a crestfallen expression, to the laughter of the spectators and columnists on the set.
“It’s horrible because it was an ad for them! », he adds. In various photos and videos published on social networks, the 29-year-old actor would have ended his rental on time with his phone. Anyone who would receive almost 10 million euros per film must not be close to 80 euros.
