Google Lens Gets Instant Camera Access: Updated on Android and iOS
Google immediately accesses the camera in its version for Android and iOS. In fact, in recent hours, Google has presented this innovation for its image recognition and interpretation service. The Google Lens update also comes against the backdrop of the expansion of Circle and Search, Google’s feature that helps identify and search any content on the screen. Previously, however, Lens provided an opening to the interface that collects the images present in the gallery, in case we need to recognize something that we have already photographed. Even in the previous implementation, it was possible to quickly access the camera by selecting the top part of the interface to completely start the camera. After this update, Lens reduces the procedure for starting camera recognition by one step, starting it immediately after opening it.

To use this new implementation, simply start Lens from the corresponding shortcut. On Android we find this, for example, in the Pixel Launcher search bar, the one located at the bottom of the home screen. The innovation introduced by Google is logical. With Circle and Search growing more and more quickly among Android users, it is easy to understand how the Lens function is increasingly dedicated to recognizing images that we can take in real time of what surrounds us. To recognize and interpret the images that we already have on our device, we just have to quickly launch Circle and Search. After the update it will still be possible to launch Lens on an image already present in the gallery. Simply swipe up or select the preview images from the gallery to the left of the shutter button. The innovation we described should be automatically distributed via server on the Google application.
