An online scam uses the identity of Johnny Depp, the actor rants and warns his fans

Used for scam purposes on social networks, Johnny Depp published a press release to warn his fans not to fall into the trap which has caused numerous victims.

This is not the first time that Johnny Depp’s name has been associated with a scam plaguing social networks. In 2022, the actor had already warned his fans not to fall into the trap but it seems that scammers have found a new way to usurp his identity.

Despite himself, Johnny Depp appears on a list of celebrities most frequently used in online scams. On Instagram, the actor published a new warning message for his fans:

“Unfortunately, it has come to my attention that online scammers are increasing their efforts to deceive my fans and supporters. As part of their tactics, they create multiple fake social media accounts and email addresses pretending to be me and my team members.”
