California is facing an unprecedented disaster as several fires ravage Los Angeles since January 7. The upscale neighborhood of Pacific Palisades, refuge of many celebrities, was particularly affected. Dozens of stars, including several French personalities, saw their homes go up in smoke in this disaster described as apocalyptic by the authorities.
The emotion of French stars in the face of the disaster
For Patrick Bruel, the news of the loss of his house was heartbreaking. The singer, who had a home in Pacific Palisades for eight years, spoke with emotion: “The only assurance that we cannot subscribe to is that of emotion, of memories, of objects, of perfumes… and of the silences which surrounded this house which went up in smoke. It was so important to us since 8 years… Oscar was 13 Léon 11 when we arrived…” A few days earlier, he had already shared his concern: “It’s apocalyptic. There will be considerable material damage to be seen once the area is accessible but for the moment, my thoughts are with the brave firefighters and those trapped in the flames, strength to all.”
Laeticia Hallyday experienced this catastrophe as a new personal tragedy. “We lost everything… There is nothing left.
