This Sunday, January 12, 2025 marks the start of the fifth season of Big Brother Celebrities, or a very special edition of the “Champions VS Recruits” type. Indeed, starting this month, eight people who have already experienced the adventure will join the house of Big Brother, accompanied by eight personalities who will set foot there for the very first time.

However, it is not because the “champions” have already experienced the adventure that they will return to familiar territory: the house has been transformed with colorful decor, a new room and even a second floor!
Narcity had the opportunity to visit the premises on January 7, the day before the stars entered the house, and every nook and cranny was explored. Here’s everything you want to know — and see — about this Montreal studio where the participants of the popular reality show have been staying since 2022.
From the entrance, fans of Big Brother Canada will recognize the huge iconic circular armchair. Indeed, the famous reality TV couch is now in Montreal. Funny fact: it was discovered on a resale site by the team, who did not hesitate to travel to Toronto to bring this treasure home.
In the center of the room, a red button sits on a platform, surrounded by a wheel allowing you to select four letters. What will it be used for? It’s a mystery that will soon be revealed.

It is difficult to recognize the house from the fourth season, even if certain rooms have kept a similar look in terms of furnishings. The walls are now made of brick, and geometric patterns of all colors are added: enough to make the participants completely “hello” all things considered!

The kitchen table is still there, but with a new look. It remains located near the endangerment section. However, one detail catches the eye: a bright staircase has been added right next to it, leading to a new room.
The cuisine, for its part, is easily recognizable. It’s only the decoration that has received a little freshness.

Same observation for the walk-inwhich remains faithful to its white and refined style. This season, however, it gains in refinement thanks to touches of marble and gold accents, giving it a significantly more luxurious look.

If there’s one room that’s unrecognizable, despite the fact that the furniture remains in the same place, it’s the bathroom. The one that was all white last year, with a coral accent wall and some black details, is now a real explosion of color. Pops of bright orange, royal blue and terrazzo countertops create a striking contrast to the walk-in adjacent, much more minimalist.

There are two rooms, one mainly turquoise, and one mainly pink.

The turquoise room has nine beds, while the pink room has seven, an imbalance deliberately designed by production. The team also told Narcity that the addition of sofas in the rooms has a strategic aim: to encourage discussions in small groups to discuss game strategies.

Indeed, we can see that the rooms would be large enough – without the sofa sections – to accommodate more single beds and eliminate bunk beds. However, everything is thought of in this home!

New room: the lounge

The former boss’s room has been transformed into lounge : a closed room where participants can reflect, discuss strategy by simulating a game of chess, or simply relax. The bathroom that was there has been removed.
But where will the boss of the week, the famous PM, sleep?
The second floor

You probably guessed it: the second floor is reserved for the boss of the week (PM), who will benefit from a high view of the house. This person will always have their own private bathroom with a large shower, a television allowing monitoring of the entire house at all times and a “Queen” bed just for them.
Big Brother Celebrities season 5 will be presented Monday to Thursday on Noovo at 7:30 p.m. starting January 13, 2025. The galas will take place on Sundays at 6:30 p.m., and it starts this Sunday, January 12, 2025.
