After fighting against breast cancer, Virgilia Hess once again shares a health problem on social networks. In 2023, the young mother announced that she had a tumor, detected during a simple pregnancy check-up with her gynecologist. The BFM TV weather presenter had to fight, alongside her pregnancy, against cancer. Becoming mother to little Léna-Rose on March 6, 2023, it was not until June 2024 that she announced that she would have her last chemotherapy session, before entering a five-year remission period. This Friday, January 3 on Instagram, weakened by the treatment of her illness, the presenter gave bad news about her health.

Since she learned, through the accident of life, that she was affected by breast cancer, Virgilia Hess has not hesitated to speak out on social networks and to use her notoriety to encourage women to get tested as often as possible. During her fight against the tumor, the young mother continued to share news of her health and her morale with her subscribers. Still in remission, this Friday January 3, 2025, the weather presenter revealed the results of an x-ray taken recently. Because of her weakened immune system, she explains that she is facing a new major problem: “A good lung infection and broken ribs to start the year off right.”she wrote in an Instagram storybefore continuing: “Don’t ask me what happened, the answer is nothing. Apart from an incessant cough for a month despite antibiotics + ribs completely weakened by radiotherapy: the coughing fits were enough to fracture them“. A hard blow to start this new year.
Virgilia Hess recalls her incomprehension when she learned she had breast cancer
In September 2024, the mother gave her touching testimony about her wonderful and difficult period that she was going through, in her book entitled My pregnancy saved my life. In the podcast of Current womenshe also confided her incomprehension when the illness was announced: “I did a lot of research on the internet and saw that it was almost impossible. I don’t know the exact figure anymore, but I believe it was a 0.01% chance of being diagnosed with breast cancer during pregnancy. From that moment on, I said to myself: ‘this is not me’.
