The audience ratings for Live on New Year’s Day, Infoman and Bye Bye are revealed

The excellent journalist from Le Soleil, Richard Therrien, has just released the ratings for the New Year’s Day specials and there are several huge surprises.

Once again this year, Live from New Year’s Day, Infoman and Bye Bye made us experience a wave of emotions, each show in their own way.

Before we start with the 2024 ratings, here are the ratings from last year:

Live from New Year’s Day: 1,841,000

Behind the scenes of Live on New Year’s Day: 482,000 in 2023

Infoman: 2 750 000

Bye Bye: 3 316 000

Behind the scenes of Bye Bye: 1,268,000

Here are now the ratings for the 2024 end-of-year shows:

Live from New Year’s Day: 2,253,000

Behind the scenes of Live on New Year’s Day: 1,754,000

Infoman: 2 422 000

Bye Bye: 3 013 000

Behind the scenes of Bye Bye: 1,178,000

As you can see, the show Behind the scenes of Live on New Year’s Day had a meteoric rise of almost 1.3 million viewers, this is explained by the fact that behind the scenes of the show was broadcast directly after the broadcast, i.e. at 8:30 p.m. while the program was broadcast at 1:30 a.m. last year.

We can deduce from this that it was an excellent strategy for - to have moved the show to a different time slot given that it attracted a large number of viewers.

Another major surprise and the Live broadcast on New Year’s Day itself which attracted around 412,000 more viewers than last year, it’s still impressive!

For its part, Infoman attracted approximately 328,000 fewer viewers than last year.

As for Bye Bye, that’s 303,000 fewer viewers than last year. The show Behind the scenes of Bye Bye attracted 10,000 more people this year compared to last year.

If we summarize by comparing 2023 vs 2024:

Live from New Year’s Day: 2,253,000 vs 1,841,000 in 2023, increase of 412,000.

Behind the scenes of Live on New Year’s Day: 1,754,000 in 2024 vs 482,000 in 2023, increase of 1,272,000.

Infoman 2024: 2,422,000 vs. 2,750,000 in 2023, drop of 328,000.

Bye Bye 2024: 3,013,000 vs. 3,316,000 in 2023, drop of 303,000.

Behind the scenes of Bye Bye: 1,178,000 vs 1,268,000 in 2023, increase of 10,000.

In conclusion, we can certainly say that Live from New Year’s Day was the big winner in ratings this year with an impressive increase, both for the show itself and for its behind the scenes. Well done to the whole team!
