Chris Jericho is now 54 years old and the sea serpent of his retirement comes back knocking on the door of the news regularly. The AEW star was on the radio station Z100 New-York and he took the opportunity to express himself once again on the issue while detailing his position on money:
“I’ve never done anything for money. Honestly, it never happened. When I was 19 I was wrestling and it wasn’t for money quite simply because there was no money to be had. I bought 55 cents worth of gas, I couldn’t afford more. If you do things you love, money always follows. If you do things for money, it tends. to ever function as you would like.
As for me, I will know when it is time. For the moment I continue to enjoy myself at incomparable levels. People ask me if I still like wrestling… If I didn’t like it, I wouldn’t do it. Especially at the stage I’ve reached.”
We recently revealed to you that the current contract which binds Jericho to AEW will come to an end in 2025. A pivotal deadline which could in fact put him into semi-retirement if his contract was not renewed under the same terms.
