Vianney reveals his worst Christmas present, he even cried: “I thought I was so ugly…”

While he was preparing to perform his flagship titles for the inauguration of the Galeries Lafayette Christmas lights, in the presence of his family, Vianney gave an interview to our colleagues at Gala (it was last November), in which he notably remembered his worst Christmas present. A timely anecdote, since the end of year celebrations are now here.

JI remember, when I was very little, I was beaten by my parents. Because I cried so much I wasn't happy with a gift. In 'but you don't realize how lucky you are' mode, all that. And I had a bicycle helmetIn fact. And when I put it on, I felt so ugly, I said 'I'm sorry but it's horrible what you gave me!'“, he told our colleagues.

He added that since that day, he has learned his lesson: “And after that, when I didn't really like a gift I didn't say it. And I said 'thank you' politely.“And today, he is 33 years old. So he thinks above all about what he is going to offer rather than what he is going to receive. And this is all the more the case since he is the father of a child, namely Edgar, born from his marriage to Catherine Robert Edgar was born a little over three years ago, in October 2021…

Vianney's gifts to her son Edgar and her daughter-in-law

Vianney therefore gives him gifts, and always knows exactly what he will like: “My son, it's cars. Monster trucks, things like that.“The one who created his clothing brand also likes to spoil his daughter-in-law, a horse fan. Which doesn't really suit him at the moment: “There's more riding related stuff, it's a quagmire. The people who fell into this, they are screwed!“But let's not forget that he dedicated a song to her. And that's a priceless gift!

Finally, Vianney had talked about the food. Because at Christmas there are gifts, but also meals! What are his preferences? “It can be lots of things. But there is a twist to the story. There has to be one! And it's not me who makes them. He's my brother-in-law, a crack pastry chef. He did some incredible things for us, which I also had Pierre Hermé validate. He said 'honestly, it's professional level'”, he revealed.
