Since her trial against Johnny Depp, Amber Heard has been rather discreet. While the actor continues his career as if nothing had happened, for the young woman the repercussions were terrible. So, when a more or less similar affair made the rounds in the media, and where Depp's name was even mentioned, Amber Heard could only react to it.
Amber Heard intervenes in this affair reminiscent of that with Johnny Depp
Never againwhose story deals with domestic violence, was a big box office success. However, reality has caught up with fiction. Blake Lively accuses Justin Baldoni of putting her through Hell during filming. She accuses, among other things, the co-star and director of the film of having sexually harassed her by going into her dressing room when she was undressed and by forcing her to shoot improvised intimate scenes. To make matters worse, according to Lively, Baldoni and his studio Wayfare launched a media campaign to damage the actress' image.
The affair continued to grow. Voices were raised whether in the media or on social networks to defend one party or the other. Given the proximity to her own business, that of Amber Heard was heard. The interpreter of Mera in the DCU has thus taken the lead in defending the causes that are dear to him.
Amber Heard attacks Johnny Depp again
The two cases, although different, are very similar in their construction. During the filming of Never again, Baldoni notably hired the same crisis management team as Johnny Depp at the time of the defamation trial against Amber Heard. The latter having suffered the same horrors as Lively, therefore wrote a post to NBC to show her support.
I experienced this up close. It is as terrible as it is destructive.
The actress, who now lives in Spain, subsequently blamed social media for contributing to the waves of misogynistic attacks she and Lively have suffered. After the lawsuit, Ryan Reynolds' wife, however, received more support not only stars, but also Internet users, showing that the “Amber Heard against Johnny Depp” trial was a precedent that made it possible to change mentalities at a minimum.
Two years ago, Amber Heard gave up her appeal against her conviction. Although she has accepted her defeat in the face of justice, her speaking out in the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni affair proves that she has not yet given up and that she will continue to defend her positions.
