EXCLUDED Corinne Touzet reveals this character trait well known to all: “People tell me this almost every day…”

A real success of last season, Le Duplex, a play by Didier Caron, sold out for several months before finally being broadcast last June on 2. The consecration. The programmers of the Théâtre de did not need much more to seize this popular success which made,th Thursday September 12, his return to the stage. We were present during this flamboyant return.

In front of us, two settings face each other. On one side, the living room of a rather dated apartment, with neutral colors and “regency” style, as we learn later during the play. On the other, a modern, refined room, in warm tones and decorated with contemporary furniture. Each of the two sets moves forward or backward according to the different scenes. Very quickly, we understand. The first belongs to Tissandier, couple of retired professors, played by Anny Duperey et Francis Perrin. The other to Shepherd, their rich upstairs neighbors played Corinne Touzet et Pascal Légitimus. The pitch is simple, the quartet lives peacefully in a beautiful building in which they flourish. But on the Berger side, the development is such that they wish to expand their residence to make it a duplex. But for that, we will first have to get rid of the owners below. This is where the trouble starts…

Corinne Touzet tells us the secret behind the success of the play Le Duplex

During an exceptional interview with Purepeople.com, Corinne Touzet spoke about this character trait which has served her enormously in her career as an actress but also as a director. A characteristic which would, according to her, be the secret of the success of the play Le Duplex which will also tour the provinces in 2025: “On stage, we have the same way of working, we put all our heart into it… And I also think that this piece can only work with the heart.” And for the beautiful 64-year-old actress to add about this: “It's something that comes up a lot in my work, I always put everything I have into it. In my films it's the same and I think people feel it. And people tell me that almost every days”. A commitment which is felt in the piece, during which the spectator never stops laughing, but also by taking a look at the immense career – she has played in more than a hundred films – of the former TF1 figure who made the channel's heyday thanks to the series A woman of honor.

Le Duplex is played at the Théâtre de Paris from Wednesday to Sunday until January 5, 2025. Go to the ticket office so you don't miss it!
