Jean-Claude Van Damme was the guest on Sunday on the show “Sept à quatre” on TF1. The 64-year-old Belgian actor opened up about his family. “I have a great life, but I have little regrets,” he explained. I lost the relationship with my children. I left [la maison] very young and I have been in hotels for fifty years. So they don't know me. For the moment, I don't think my children love me very much.

His three children, Kristofer, 37, Bianca, 34, and Nicholas, 29, who live under the family roof, dream of becoming actors. “I told them we would be a cinema family, but I was wrong,” says the actor. My children admire me a lot, but there is a little jealousy.

“JCVD” also returned in the interview to the mockery to which he can sometimes be subjected. “What made me sad is that people don’t understand what I think,” says the native of Berchem-Saint-Agathe, in the Brussels-Capital region. They listen to noises, not sounds. It's also because I think at an incredible speed. I can smell people. I operate on instinct. I left school at 13 and, at 42, bought an apartment in Hong Kong. I discovered YouTube there. Thanks to that, I learned about education, technology, biology…”.

Jean-Claude Van Damme also talks about his sensitivity, particularly when he was a child. He describes losing his first love at the age of 9, after a breakup. “It screwed me up for the rest of my life,” he confides. Since then, I have always rejected love. I have been through five divorces. But today, I believe in it.”
