“For several years, I was a little bit clumsy, but over the last 4 years, I think I can say that I have been rather good. I brush my teeth every night, I try to contribute to my RRSPs, say less bad words, and then I don't do drugs anymore, not at all. That’s already good, eh! In the past, you sent me lots and lots of gifts: big ones, nice ones, tanks, bags, jewelry, big contracts, then magazine covers. I know it was you who sent them to me, because of the invisible list I was writing in my head.”
With this letter, the host and actress evokes the pain of the death of her little brother Raphaeloccurred last summer:

“I had to make my inner journey, ask myself the right questions to finally realize that what was going to make me happy was already inside me […] This is why this year, I didn't write anything on my list, I want to let you surprise me. On the other hand, I would need your help to spoil my loved ones. This year, Santa, it hasn't been easy. My little brother Raphaël left us, and I tell myself that only you can do something for my family and me, to make this time of the year still a little bit magical despite the gaping hole that lives in us.”
She concludes by sending a message of love to all the people who will experience their first Christmas without a loved one this year:
“I would be grateful if you could place all the sweets you can find under our tree: resilience candy canes, courageous bread men and sweaters warm enough to warm our hearts. And love too, we never have enough. If you can do this for all the families who are going to spend a Christmas without a loved one, I tell you that we will be a mean gang to be grateful to you, then to work hard to stay on the nice list this year. next.”
A moving message, coming straight from the heart, which undoubtedly made those who heard it cry.
