For the fifth edition of the Women’s Film Festival, Alexandra Lamy and Sonia Rolland were invited to present the films “La Chambre des Merveilles” and “An unexpected destiny”. Together, the two actresses took full advantage of this stay in a heavenly setting.

Godmother of the very first edition of the Women’s Film Festival organized in in 2019, Sonia Rolland has since remained faithful to the event. This year, it was to Mauritius and as a director that she went to this fifth meeting.

Author of the film “Un destin Inattendu” with Fadette Drouard and Emmanuel Poulain-Arnaud, the former Miss revealed this very first fiction to the Mauritian public. Also on the trip, Alexandra Lamy presented “The Chamber of Wonders” where she plays Thelma, a single mother determined to live the dreams of her son, stuck in a coma after an accident.

On their social networks, the two women shared a few moments of this stay which combined coconut trees, white sand and a dream hotel. Chloé Jouannet, Alexandra Lamy’s daughter, was also part of the trip, taking advantage of the many activities offered by the festival and the island.

After numerous screenings, round tables and debates on the films presented, the three actresses had the opportunity to participate in a safari. Encountering baby zebras, giraffes and menacing ostriches, the budding adventurers returned to with tanned complexions to celebrate Christmas.
