The cases of Judith Godrèche and Adèle Haenel are not the only ones that will be mentioned by the commission “Violence in the cultural sector” of the National Assembly. This December 18, 2024, Sandrine Rousseau auditioned actress Anna Mouglalis, as part of the Gérard Miller affair.
And the latter returned to the set of her first film, “Terminal“, for which the psychoanalyst signed the script.
Anna Mouglalis on her clash with Gérard Miller
Anna Mouglalis remembered: “In 1997, for my first film, I found myself being summoned by a producer of the film, to go to Gérard Miller’s home. I meet Gérard Miller, who invites me to visit his home cinema“.
And to explain his state of mind upon arriving at the star’s private mansion, Boulevard Voltaire, in Paris. Anna Mouglalis, then aged 19, says: “It’s normal to have confidence, when you are sent by production to a screenwriter, that you want to act in a film. This should all be very normal“.
Gérard Miller then offers her a hypnosis session, which she refuses, she says, because she “I find the guy really not likeable.”. After that, Anna Mouglalis feels a change in her attitude, she says.
“He starts to tense up and become a little aggressive. And to say to myself ‘well then what are we going to do and what should we do in this scenario?’. I tell him that we don’t have to do anything at all, given how it’s gone, it’s not worth it.”. And then he moves on to threats. Anna Mouglalis says: “he tells me that he will therefore remove the lines from my character to give them to other actresses. I tell him so much the better“.
Remembering this scene, which is 27 years old, Anna Mouglalis has one regret. She admits: “At the time, I didn’t talk to the director or the producer about it, I should have. But in fact, I left, I said to myself ‘In fact, he’s just an asshole.”
The word is freed, so late
However, her words could perhaps have changed the situation for many other women. And for good reason, Anna Mouglalis relates: “it turns out that during filming, there was a class, we were all between 18 and 20 years old. There are two young women who quite spontaneously, because they realized that they had experienced the same thing, spoke before us openly They experienced the same thing at Gérard Miller, but they experienced the hypnosis session. And they experienced the attacks.”
In March 2024, they are now 67 women to be accused the media psychoanalyst Gérard Miller of various forms of sexual violence.
