This Saturday, December 14, 2024, Angélique Angarni-Filopon, who represented Martinique, was elected Miss France 2025. Since then, she has received numerous criticisms on social networks. If last year, Eve Gilles had been the first candidate with short hair to win the national election, this year, Angélique is, for her part, the oldest in history ! Indeed, the Martinican is thirty-four years old, which is not exactly an advantage for beauty contests.
Angelique ready for Miss Universe
And for good reason, she will not be able to represent France during the Miss World election, because until 2022, the age of the candidates was limited to 24 years old. But it seems that Angélique has another project in mind: participate in Miss Universe. On the set of the show Don’t Touch My Post (TPMP), the lucky winner of the beauty contest confided: “Miss Universe was my goal. There is no limit. I would really like to do this competition“.
But nothing is won, since to participate, you have to pay, and not just a little. Questioned by Cyril Hanouna, Angélique Angarni-Filopon declared: “For both you have to pay. For Miss Universe, it’s 20,000 eurosMiss World is cheaper“. We can only hope that the conditions for admission to Miss Universe do not change. To date, the famous competition is much more inclusive than Miss World. In fact, candidates can be married, divorced, have children or are transgender.
A situation that benefits another
In the meantime, there is one who is taking advantage of the situation: Sabah Aïb, the first runner-up in the Miss France 2025 competition, who did not hesitate to attack Gilles Verdez in TPMP. In fact, the very young woman aged eighteen said to herself ready to replace Angélique Angarni-Filopon in the Miss World and Miss Universe competitionsas she confided to our colleagues at Parisian : “If she doesn’t go and she agrees, I’ll take my chance“. A godsend for this finalist!
