TPMP and Cyril Hanouna at the heart of multiple controversies
Indeed, Cyril Hanouna has occupied a good part of the media scene in recent weeks. It must be said that the C8 channel on which the host officiates is in the hot seat since this summer when Arcom decided not to renew its frequency on TNT after February 28. If the host tried to do everything to save his channel, his show and his technical teams, we recently learned via an investigation by Parisianwhich Cyril Hanouna had lost the trust of his employees, some of whom did not hesitate to insult him as a liar.
As if all that wasn’t enough, it’s a new affair which once again affects the flagship presenter of C8. After the announcement of the cessation of broadcasting of the Canal group channel, Cyril Hanouna finds himself in court this Tuesday, December 17 following an incident that occurred live more than two years ago.
Cyril Hanouna VS LFI: the Boyard affair before the courts
Return on November 10, 2022: after having been a columnist of TPMPLouis Boyard, newly appointed LFI deputy, is received as a guest on the Hanouna set to talk about the refugee issue.
But the latter takes advantage of his presence on C8 to attack and criticize Vincent Bolloré, owner of the channel who faces legal proceedings in connection with his business affairs in Cameroon. From then on, the tone rises between the guest and the host who then says:
I’ll explain to you, I come here, I do my job and I entertain people every evening and I talk to them about current affairs.
To which the deputy replied: “Noyou are not doing your job, you are protecting your boss“. And that’s when Cyril Hanouna says: “You, you’re a piece of shit, you come here, you act smart, you’re a piece of shit“.
And it is for these words that the star of C8 finds himself before the 17th criminal chamber of the Paris judicial court for public insults towards a constituted body, a civil servant, a depositary of authority or a citizen responsible for a public service, by word, writing, image or means of electronic communication. Louis Boyard criticized the terms “You idiot“, “You are an idiot“, “You bastard, go” “Jester, go“, “You are a piece of shit”.
Cyril Hanouna will not be present in court. In this case, C8 has already been fined 3.5 million euros by Arcom for “violation of guest’s rights” et “lack of control of your antenna“. The facilitator has filed a complaint against the LFI deputy and the trial should take place before the end of 2025.
