Hollywood actor Will Smith, also a rapper, will perform in concert this summer in France at the Antique Theater in Orange. A great first.
Never seen before. For the first time in his career, Will Smith, 56, is preparing to give a concert in France.
The actor, also a rapper, will perform at the Antique Theater in Orange (Vaucluse) on July 31 during the Positiv festival, its organizers announced this Tuesday, December 3.
This concert event will mark the big return of the Hollywood star after spending two decades away from the music scene, the festival also highlighted in a press release.
A return to the music that titillated the actor. Already last April, Will Smith made a surprise appearance at the Coachella festival by joining the prince of reggaeton J.Balvin on stage to perform his hit “Men in Black”, which is none other than the soundtrack of the film eponym.
At the end of June, Will Smith did it again. The fifty-year-old took to the BET Awards stage this time to unveil his new single “You can make it”, almost 20 years after the release of his last album, “Lost and Found”.
Four Grammy Awards to his credit
As a reminder, Will Smith began his career in music. One of the pioneers of rap, the Oscar-winning actor released several successful albums before starring in the cult series “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” in the 1990s.
In 1989, he and his sidekick DJ Jazzy Jeff won their first Grammy Award in the Best Rap Performance category, with their song “Parents Just Don't Understand”. The duo repeated the feat two years later with their song “Summertime”.
Throughout his career, Will Smith won two other solo Grammys, this time for his titles “Men In Black” and “Gettin' Jiggy Wit It”.
Tickets to attend Will Smith's performance this summer are already open.
