In reality, this purchase is simply a real estate investment and not a need to find another home: “It was not purchased as a new home, but rather as a vacation home and something they can invest their money in to protect their assets.”
Also, in Portugal, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be able to find Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, who also own a house in Melides, just south of Lisbon.

Moreover, “if the Sussexes intend to use Portugal as a base from which Harry can travel to the UK during their stay, then perhaps that he will be more likely to repair the relationship with his father if he can go there more easily for short periods”.
