Seven regions in epidemic phase of bronchiolitis
In its weekly bulletin of Wednesday November 27, Public health France confirmed a progression of the epidemic of bronchiolitis during the week of November 18.
From now on, in mainland France, five regions, Burgundy-Franche-Comté, Grand Est, Normandy, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Loire" rel="tag">Pays de la Loire are in the pre-epidemic phase and seven in the epidemic (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Brittany, Centre-Val de Loire, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, Ile-de-France and Hauts-de-France).
Regarding the fluindicators show a notable increase in all age groups, although most regions remain at their “basic level”. The exceptions concern Ile-de-France, Hauts-de-France and Normandy, where influenza activity is increasing more quickly.
Preventive treatments and vaccination

As for Beyfortus, developed by AstraZeneca and Sanofi, it is administered directly to babies in the form of antibodies. Note that the latter was the subject of an immunization campaign in 2023. The results showed that it limited the hospitalizations of babies in France and in the few other countries where it was tested.
