Now in a relationship with François Civil, the actress, currently starring in the film Phew Lovecontinues filming but does not forget his son Ismaël, quite the contrary. The 31-year-old young woman makes sure to always stay close to him because for her, her family is and will always remain the most important thing in her life.
“I am lucky to have a family who is very present for me. I try to put markers around my son. I don't spend more than four nights away from him when he is with my father.“, she confided.
Being a mother requires you to be patient
For her son, Adèle Exarchopoulos learned to be patient. A quality that she did not have at the start. “I don't have a quiet strength of patience deep within me. I like the urgency of living, of making choices. Being a mother requires you to be patient. When every morning, you have to repeat ten times to your child 'Put on your underwear, put on your underwear!', at a given moment, you learn to find diversions, to find games“, she said.
Adèle Exarchopoulos always puts her son first
Understanding the importance of being present for her son at every stage of his life, she continues: “A 7 year old child, what he wants is to be bathed, fed, put to bed.. He wants the everyday, he wants the 'not bad'. He wants to come to school and see your face when you leave. Today, I know that when I have intense periods or I am working, I am ready to not read scripts for a while to stay close to my son“.
Before accepting a project, Adèle Exarchopoulos now first asks herself a single question, “it is to know if it really deserves that we put in place logistics so that I can see my son, who is in school“. A very young man at the center of Adèle's life.
