Michel Drucker has come a long way. After undergoing two heart operations, in 2020 and 2023, the presenter returned to television, in his show Vivement Dimanche. At 82, the host is in good shape but still asks himself some questions about the end of his career: “There are days when I say to myself: 'This is not reasonable, I'm going to be a caricature' and then there are days when I say to myself: 'Why?'”he confided to Pascal Praud, on the airwaves of Europe 1.
But now Dany Saval's husband has decided to reveal a real scoop!
“I have already imagined what I will do when I stop. I will finish a book, I will go back on stage, I will give you a scoop, in 2026 (…) Do you know where I'm going to do it? At the Gabriel studio, in my studio.”
Michel Drucker announces an astonishing project
If he returns to the stage, Michel Drucker also has another idea in mind: “You know what I'm going to do, in I don't know when? I'm going to visit the retirement homes. I'm going to talk to people in the retirement homes.” Facing him, Pascal Praud was very moved by this initiative. While laughing, he says to the presenter: “Be careful that they don’t keep you especially.”
Michel Drucker then responds: “I’ll go scouting! There are 7,500 EHPADs in France and everyone forgets them!” For Pascal Praud, this observation is entirely true: “I have visited retirement homes and EHPADs recently. Not only did it upset me, but what I found great was the energy,” he confides.
Pascal Praud, very touched by the host's words
The Europe 1 journalist would like to share his experience:
“I actually found people who incredibly love their job… It's not about money anyway,
they never complain about money, they can complain about means”.
The presenter wanted to highlight the work of all the healthcare staff in these establishments: “These people are incredibly happy and people who have been there for 20, 25 years and who for nothing in the world would go to work in another sector.”
