Jean-Marc Généreux is one of the members of the jury of the TF1 show Dance with the stars alongside Chris Marques, Fauve Hautot and Mel Charlot. Known for his legendary “I buy“, his naturalness and his unfailing good humor, the Quebecer is also a particularly sensitive being and full of emotions, notably when he talks about his loved ones and his daughter Francesca.
A life built around Francesca
The fruit of his union with his wife France, their 25-year-old daughter suffers from Rett syndrome, a disease that prevents her from walking and expressing herself. Invited on the YouTube show In The Box a few days ago, the famous dancer decided to talk about his family and the conditions he created so that his daughter is as well as possible.
“We created a little haven of peace for my daughter. Everything is equipped, the house, for his needs. There are small elevators everywhere because it doesn’t work“, he expressed. He then wanted to reveal some of the moments he spent with her. “She has extremely demanding needs. But she is an angel from heaven. Yes, we don’t really have a formal answer if we are doing a good or bad job, but in any case, I can say that every night I am at home, she always ends up in my arms on the couch, I watch TV, she falls asleep on me. And I take her to her room and I put her back in her bed and each time she wakes up a little, she turns around and she smiles at me. And in the morning, when I go to get her, she is happy that I am taking her in my arms and so I tell myself, in her sleep, things must be happening“, he said.
