An abandoned house?
Nathalie Baye describes the residence as “a paradise on earth” in a long interview given to the Journal du Dimanche in August 2022. She continues, referring to the property now abandoned: “The weight of memories was perhaps too heavy for me to bear. When I visit my friends in Creuse, I can’t help but go back to see my house”

The report Nathalie Baye in private broadcast on June 24, 1981 then archived by the INA shows the actress at home, within the walls of her Parisian apartment. On screen, we see her cooking with her two alley cats Pilou and Lola, who never leave her side. She explains to the journalist Mireille Audibert to go and rest in the Creuse between two shoots: “It’s a place that makes me feel good. When I’m filming, I’m always with a lot of people and when I’m not filming and I’m in Paris, it’s difficult to disconnect.” The show follows the preparation of her homemade dinner surrounded by her friends, acquaintances from the Conservatory such as actors Maureen Kerwin and André Dussollier.

The meeting between Johnny Hallyday and Nathalie Baye in 1982
Johnny Hallyday and Nathalie Baye met on a television set in 1982, during the filming of a sketch where the singer arrived (very) late. She is 35, he is 39, and he has just separated from Sylvie Vartan with whom he had a relationship for 17 years. Nathalie Baye recounts this first meeting in an interview given to Express Styles in 2009: “Johnny arrived an hour and a half late, which annoyed me. And then I saw a very shy man, surrounded by guys, each more tanned and blond than the last. I found it very touching” Their relationship lasted three years, they lived in Yvelines, in the Paris region, within the walls of a house in L’Étang-la-Ville.
