Fort Boyard returns for its 35th season this Saturday June 29, 2024 on France 2. Due to the Olympic Games, the usual schedule with a broadcast on Saturday evening will be disrupted. A few episodes will be broadcast during the week.
This will be the case on Thursday July 18 with two Sarthois in the show! In addition to Fertois Anthony Laborde who begins his 21st season in the role of Passe Muraille, we will find Jo-Wilfried Tsonga as team leader. This is the second consecutive year that the Sarthe tennis player, who retired in 2022, has participated in the adventure show.

In 2023, he was a member of the Vianney team with notably the former Miss France Maëva Coucke. They raised €20,514 for the Arsep foundation for research into multiple sclerosis. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga had a good record with four events won during the evening.

For the benefit of a Sarthe association

This time, it is in the role of team captain that the Sarthois returns to the lands of Father Fouras. He will collect as many boyars as possible for the benefit of the Sarthe association Attrap’la Balle founded in 2009 by his parents. Our challenge is to enable the development of the practice of tennis, and more broadly of the practice of sport, as a tool for education and integration. explains on his website Jo-Wilfried Tsonga who took over the presidency of the association in 2020 with his brother Enzo.

Who are the other team members?

In Jo-Wilfried Tsonga’s team, fans of Star Academy on TF1 will find a well-known face. Julien Lieb, finalist for the 2023 season against Pierre Garnier, will compete in the fort’s events.

Other TF1 shows, other candidates: the actor Roman Doduik, 5th in season 13 of Dancing with the Stars last April and Laurent Maistret, TV host and adventurer from Koh Lanta. This will be the latter’s 7th participation at Fort Boyard. Érika Moulet and Manon Théodet, both TV presenters, complete the team.
