On Saturday, November 16, while on the plane leaving for Buenos Aires, Argentina, the President of the Republic published a video on Instagram. A long 14-hour flight during which Brigitte Macron's husband had time to address his subscribers.
The video is shot and fashion selfie and we discover a relaxed Emmanuel Macron. A three-day beard, a small scarf and a hooded sweatshirt, enough to surprise you at first glance. The politician explains that his first destination is Buenos Airesthe capital of Argentina. He then wanted to detail his itinerary as well as the purpose of his trip to the other side of the world.
Diplomatic visits
It was to meet Argentinian President Javier Milei that Emmanuel Macron goes to Argentina. “We are going to talk about our commercial interests, our trade, the defense of our agriculture and our farmers, (…). We will talk about the G20 which is coming”he explains. Precisely, the two heads of state will then have to fly to the G20which will be held in Rio, Brazil.
Many will be mentioned: the economy, biodiversity but also geopoliticsand in particular the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East. “And finally, I will go to Chile, to see President Gabriel Boric. I will launch a major initiative in the city of Valparaiso for the oceans”he declares in his video posted on Instagram. A busy schedule for our President, who promises to keep us informed once there.

On Instagram, the President's first video accumulates over 120,000 views. In the comments, Internet users are divided. Some appreciate the president's initiative and this more dynamic type of communication. Others, on the contrary, showed themselves more mocking towards the 46-year-old politician.
