Friday November 15, the comedian Mademoiselle Serge, whose real name is Muriel Mangeol, received a letter signed by Emmanuel Macron. In it, the Head of State congratulated her for her show Gai Rire 2.0, in which she talks about the cancer she suffers from, France Bleu Lorraine reported.
In this letter, posted on Facebook by the comedian, the President of the Republic explains having learned of his show through an article in the local media. And Emmanuel Macron wrote: “You have made humor your first weapon in this fight that you are waging against illness”. “Being faced with this ordeal requires a lot of strength and courage. This is why I wanted to personally send you all my support. I send you my warmest thoughts as well as my best encouragement in the pursuit of your artistic projects”he added.
An invitation to the show?
The head of state continues by claiming to be “convinced that prevention in public health must remain a priority”. And to conclude by hand: “With my support and congratulations”. To France Bleu Lorraine, Mademoiselle Serge expressed her surprise upon receiving the letter: “I started reading the first three sentences and I cried! I said to myself: 'but what is this? Why? Why me? Doesn't he have something else? What to do at the moment but send me a letter?' It's incredible”.
The comedian continued: “I can't realize it, it moved me enormously. If at one point I had doubts, I tell myself that I can no longer doubt and I must continue on my path, it's fabulous, it's is magnificent!”. She also announced that she will send him an invitation during his next visit to Paris for his show: “You have to dare! There, it was him who came to me, I didn’t ask for anything so yes, I will challenge him!”
