This November 15, the School of Journalism (ESJ Paris) announced, in a press release, its takeover by several companies and families. The oldest school of journalism, created in 1899, now intends “ strengthen its position of reference in the field of journalism education, particularly in economics ». « Supported by French publishers and entrepreneurs, the Paris School of Journalism will thus be able to build a new project », Specifies the management. The objective: to make ESJ Paris a reference school and join the very restricted circle of schools recognized by the profession.

Among the buyers, we find in particular Financière Agache, controlled by Bernard Arnault (The Parisian, The Echoes), the Bayard press group (The Cross, The Pilgrim), the French press group CMA Média, owned by Rodolphe Saadé (Provence, RMC, BFM ), the Koodenvoi company of the Dassault group (Le Figaro) or the Compagnie de l'Odet, holding company of the Bolloré group (Canal+ group). The presidency of the establishment will be entrusted to Vianney d'Alançon, French entrepreneur and founder of the Le Rocher Mistral park in Provence.
