Pierre Palmade is awaiting his trial which is due to begin on November 20, 2024, a year and a half after the tragedy caused by his car accident. On February 10, 2023, the comedian was driving a carafter going shopping, near his country house. He had hit another vehicle in the opposite direction.
On board, a family, including a six-year-old child and a pregnant woman who had lost her baby after this accident. A few days later, we learned that Pierre Palmade was under the influence of drugs, and that he had organized an orgy at his home for a few days.
Pierre Palmade abandoned by almost everyone
The star of laughter, addicted for years, was then dropped by many friends. In the lead, Muriel Robinwho nevertheless rushed to his bedside, at the hospital, just after the shock.
If since then, harsh and sometimes mocking statements have multiplied concerning him, there are still a few personalities who support him. Like Mireille Dumas or François Rollin, Rémi Deval, member of the duo Les Décaféinésspoke.
In the columns of Teleproin Belgium, the latter estimated: “He's a mentor to me. He taught me a lot. We all love him, I still love him“. And he took the opportunity to briefly give news of Pierre Palmade. Thus, he assured: “I have news from him, he is doing well“.
A highly anticipated trial
The comedian, however, faces a sentence of fourteen years in prison and a fine of 200,000 euros. And this, because he has “used narcoticss”. He was therefore in “status of legal recidivisme”, compared to a previous conviction, in 2019.
The trial is eagerly awaited by the victims' families. A few days ago, on the show Seven to Eight from TF1, one of his victims, the driver, wished “let him pay for what he did“, because he has, he said “transformed (their) lives into hell“.
For his part, Pierre Palmade spoke in September 2023 before the Melun judicial court. He confessed: “I ruined a family's life. I go to sleep and wake up with this, honestly“.
