The Jouannets are over the moon. This Saturday, June 15, in Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone (Hérault) the third edition of Jeunesse en Court was held, a festival which rewards the best short films of the past year. And it was Chloé Jouannet who caused a sensation with his short film Come on girlwhich she directed herself and in which she directs people she knows well since the title roles were entrusted to her father Thomas Jouannet and her little sister Mado Jouannet. His other sister, Yséealso plays a small role – Mado and Ysée have the actress Armelle Deutsch as their mother.
In Come on girl, Alex, a recently divorced forty-year-old, accompanies his 15-year-old daughter to a twirling competition. But very quickly, the father finds himself confronted with a situation that he had not anticipated… A scenario that Chloé Jouannet imagined during confinementwhich she spent with her father, and alongside her little sisters as she had confided to the Parisian last January: “At that time, I came back to live with my father and I observed how he handled my 13 year old sister’s teenage crisis. And then, I wanted to talk about family. We are a big blended family, where everyone gets along well. I wanted to talk about the love that changes over the years.”.
A shower of rewards, six months after Alpe d’Huez
A scenario and a proposal which seem to have won over the jury and the public of Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone. As they confided on their respective Instagram pages, Thomas, Mado and Chloé received critical acclaim, and have obtained multiple awards. The father won the prize for male interpretation, while Mado won that for female interpretation. Chloé, as a director, shone with the prize for best screenplay. Finally, the entire family was over the moon to learn also having won the public prize.
Not a little proud of the journey accomplished by his little tribe, Thomas Jouannet shared numerous photos on social networks, and expressed his joy in a short video published in story. The husband of Armelle Deutsch, formerly in a relationship with Alexandra Lamy, will be found in a few months in the casting of the new thriller from France Télévisions River Brigadewith Roxane Turmel (More beautiful life). Note that last January, at the L’Alpe d’Huez international comedy festival, the short film obtained the best short film awardtied with The cops and the thieves by Maxime Azzopardi and Adrien Guedra-Degeorges.
A family story
The Jouannet-Lamys like to film as a family. If she gave the answer to her father and her little sisters in Come on girlChloé Jouannet also starred alongside her mother Alexandra Lamy and her aunt Audrey Lamy in the series Killer Coaster, broadcast on Netflix. She was also seen in Affected, the film that her mother directed for TF1, and in which she played one of the main roles with Mélanie Doutey and Claudia Tagbo. A few years earlier, still for TF1, Ysée Jouannet played the main role from the TV movie Never without you, Lounaadapted from a true story, and in which Chloé Jouannet also played.
