They started this summer and the operation will continue for a few more weeks.

The association’s photographers Surface Without Target survey the city ​​of Caen pour photograph 1,000 anonymous people representing all districts of the city.

Only condition : live or work in Caen (Calvados) and sign an image rights authorization. Next to 600 people have already responded favorably.

An exhibition and an album

These portraits will be the subject of a exposition at the Scriptorium at City Hall. A album souvenirwill also be produced and put on sale within the exhibition which will last until March 2, 2026.

Around ten photographers are participating in this operation supported by the city of Caen.

Everyone works with their own style, sensitivity, technique, like Linaupe Carterauthor of numerous technical works on digital photography, co-founder and artistic director of Surface Without Target.

Each person will receive a paper print of their portrait as a gift. If you wish, you can still have your portrait taken and participate in this great original photographic enterprise to celebrate the Millennium of Caen.
