Charles III suffering from cancer: nine months later, it was Queen Camilla who announced that she was ill

King Charles III suffers from a “form of cancer”, discovered during his prostate operation. This was announced by Buckingham Palace in February 2024.

And to support her, everyone turned to Queen Camilla. Prince William was with his wife, Kate Middleton, also suffering from cancer. It was therefore the king's wife who responded to the English. And his popularity was not a foregone conclusion after the death of Lady Diana.

Nine months after Charles III's cancer

She is sick today, too. But nothing serious compared to the others. “Her Majesty the Queen is currently ill due to a lung infection, for which his doctors advised a short period of rest” as stated by a royal spokesperson, quoted by the Reuters agency.

Bad news as Prince William is currently in South Africa for an official visit. For his part, the king Charles III is still taking it slowly, after returning from a tour of Australia and the Samoa Islands. Just like Kate Middletonwho finished her chemotherapy in September, and is gradually resuming her commitments.

Camilla has to cancel engagements

Cannot be replaced, Queen Camilla therefore had to cancel several obligations scheduled for this week, according to the BBC.

And in particular his participation in a reception given for British Olympic and Paralympic athletes at Buckingham Palace.

It must take place this Thursday evening. Fortunately, Camilla's rest should be short-livedsince those around her hope that she will be “restored on time” to attend celebrations in memory of soldiers who died in the First World War.
