For several years now, the rag burns between princes William and Harry. After the terrible confidences about the royal family, Meghan Markle's husband no longer has ties with his brother. But while the Windsors struggle to reconnect the two enemy brothers, Lady Di's family never wanted to make any differences between them.
Indeed, Jennie Bond, royal expert, interviewed by our media colleagues Ok!confided on this subject:
“I really admire how the Spencer family has clearly maintained a close relationship and private with William and Harry. That's what he promised Earl Spencer during his dramatic speech at Diana's funeral.

The Spencers managed to keep a link between Princes William and Harry
Indeed, the uncle of the two crowned heads had specified that he always wanted to stay in contact with Princes William and Harry: “The relationship went largely unnoticed, but it is evident that the Earl and his daughters remained in contact with William and Harry. And that's certainly what Diana would have hoped for, especially since her two sisters seem to have managed to stay on good terms with their nephews.
Thus, Lady Di's family manages to maintain this close bond: “One of the most important aspects of their relationship is their discretion. I suspect there has been and is much more contact and support than we are hearing. And in royal circles, it is the basis of a truly close and continuing relationship. It must be a tightrope to walk – but the Spencers seem very good at it.”
A promise linked to Lady Di to honor
Thanks to this side of their family, the princes can still maintain a link even if it is invisible: “The Spencers are far enough removed from the Windsor side of the family to go public with their support for Harry,” confides the expert.
“That doesn't mean they agree with everything he said or wrote about the royal side of the family… but it does mean they intend to honor the promise made to their sister by Earl Spencer at Diana's funeral: 'Do all we can to continue the imaginative way in which you guided these two exceptional young men so that their souls are not simply immersed in duty and tradition, but can sing openly as you intended'”.
