ISome returns are less obvious than others. Even more so when it is totally unexpected. Seven years after the death of its singer Chester Bennington, Linkin Park returned to France, filling the immense Paris La Défense Arena, for a concert rich in emotions and lessons. The Point was there.
It's an understatement to say that there were many questions for the approximately 45,000 spectators present this Sunday evening. Can a group survive the loss of its most prominent member? Should he even try? This dilemma, which has been tearing apart fans of this major group of the 2000s since the – surprise – announcement of its reformation, animated many discussions before the start of the concert.
Significantly modified training
Much has changed since the drama of July 2017. To replace the irreplaceable Chester, Mike Shinoda and his friends called on Emily Armstrong, the energetic singer of the group Dead Sara. On drums, Rob Bourdon has decided to distance himself, and is replaced by Colin Brittain. Brad Delson remains the group's lead guitarist, but no longer wants to tour, so a certain Alex Feder replaces him. In summary, Linkin Park fans have found half of the original lineup, with bassist “Phoenix” and DJ Joe Hahn still present.
