American actress Trina McGee surprised her fans on Monday by announcing on Instagram that she was pregnant at 54.
“At the tender age of 54, I found myself pregnant. Send us your prayers for a successful delivery,” she wrote.
The latter also indicated that she would take a break from social networks.
Trina McGee came to public attention in the late 90s when she was a cast member of the television series Boys Meets World.
Her role as Angela Moore was particularly memorable because her character and that of Shawn Hunter, played by Rider Strong, were one of the first interracial couples on a show on a major American television network.

During her career, she participated in a dozen TV shows and appeared in a few films, including Daylight (The Tunnel from Hell), published in 1996, in which she rubbed shoulders with Sylvester Stallone and Viggo Mortensen.
It was also during the filming of this feature film that Trina McGee met actor Marcello Thedford, with whom she has now been married for 16 years.

The unborn child would be the couple’s first, but the fourth for the actress who had three children during previous relationships. Her last pregnancy was almost 25 years ago.
