The latter suffered from a degenerative disease, which was diagnosed in 2019. Saddened, Prince William paid tribute to the rugby legend on Twitter with a touching message: “Rugby league legend Rob Burrow had a huge heart. He taught us that ‘in a world full of adversity, we must dare to dream’. Catherine and I send all our love to Lindsey, Jackson, Maya and Macy”. The announcement of his death was made by his former club Leeds, and sparked a wave of warm testimonies towards him.
