New photos of Prince Alexandre Georgievitch for his second birthday
The little prince Alexandre Georgievitch has been brightening his parents’ daily lives for two years now. Prince Alexandra was born on October 21, 2022, a little over a year after his parents’ lavish wedding. Grand Duke George Mikhailovich of Russia and Princess Victoria Romanovna were married on October 1, 2021 at Saint Isaac’s Cathedral in Saint Petersburg, in the presence of royalty from around the world and two thousand witnesses.
This October 21, 2024, on the occasion of their son’s second birthday, the Hereditary Grand Duke and his wife shared new photos of the little prince. Prince Alexander was born in Russia and now lives between Rome and Dubai, where his parents recently settled.

The pretty blond curls of Prince Alexandre Georgievitch
The time when Prince Alexander slept soundly during the first photo shoots in the arms of his parents is already long gone. Prince Alexander is the only grandson of Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna of Russia, head of the Russian Imperial family. At the head of the Romanov dynasty since 1992, Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna has an only son, Hereditary Grand Duke George, himself the father of a son, Prince Alexander.
Alexander is named in honor of the patriotic hero Alexander Nevsky, Prince of Novgorod. The prince is famous for his victory in the Battle of Ice on Lake Peipus. During this battle, he repelled the Teutonic knights installed in the Baltic countries, sent to invade the Russian principalities. In addition, Alexandra also remembers her ancestor, Emperor Alexander II.
