It’s a terrible drama that has just affected all One Direction fans. Indeed, British musician Liam Payne, former member of the group, died this Wednesday October 16, 2024at the age of 31. The events took place in Argentina.
“Liam James Payne, songwriter and guitarist, former member of One Direction, died today after
fell from the third floor of a hotel in Palermo“, police said in a statement.
Following the discovery of the body, “very serious injuries following his fall” were observed. “We pronounced him dead, there was no possibility of resuscitation,” said emergency chief Alberto Crescenti.

he continued. An investigation was nevertheless opened to understand the causes and circumstances of his death. Especially since according to local media, Liam Payne’s hotel room was in disrepair.

TMZ then indicated that it had obtained several testimonies from hotel guests who indicated that the singer was not behaving in a stable manner within the hotel. “He broke his laptop and had to be taken back to his room”tells the media.

Unfortunately, this was not the first time that the young man had borderline behavior. For a long time, Liam Payne “went through periods where his behavior was disastrous“, explained a source to the media PageSix.
“He was open about his problems but sometimes tried to downplay them. His demons were much worse than he let on”.
Three years ago, the young man agreed to talk about his alcohol addiction
and some dark thoughts : “There are definitely things I’ve never talked about that relate to this. It was really, really difficult.”
