Anne Hathaway apologizes to journalist for bad behavior

Twelve years later, Anne Hathaway makes her mea culpa. The American actress apologized to the journalist who interviewed her in 2012 to promote the feature film Les Miserables.

Kjersti Flaa recently re-shared a clip of the interview with the Hollywood star on social networks in which the 41-year-old actress responds curtly to the reporter’s questions.

The Norwegian journalist also proposed, during the interview, to sing the questions before asking the actors to also answer them by singing, Les Miserables being a musical.

If Hugh Jackman and Eddie Redmayne, Anne Hathaway’s screen partners, had agreed to play the game, this was not the case for the actress who had retorted: “I won’t do it, but you can sing. »

Unexpected excuses

It turns out that the star of the film The devil wears Prada caught wind of the re-emergence of the unflattering clip, and Kjersti Flaa revealed that the actress contacted her to apologize.

A rep for Anne Hathaway confirmed to Variety that the actress had indeed sent a message of apology to the journalist. “Yesterday I received an email. It came from Anne Hathaway’s press secretary, who forwarded her message to me. I must say that I was quite shocked,” the Norwegian journalist said in a video.

“I didn’t expect her to contact me at all. I thought she would never see this video, but she did. And she did something pretty incredible,” she added.

The reporter expands on her remarks by indicating that Anne Hathaway explained to her why she was in this state of mind during the interview before apologizing.

“Just talking about it almost brings tears to my eyes because I was so grateful that she did that,” Kjersti Flaa admitted.
