Michel Blanc won the Cesar for best actor in a supporting role in 2012, for the film “L’Exercice de l’Etat” by Pierre Schoeller. In total, the actor had been nominated four times.

Two days after his death, the organization of the CinéRoman festival, which was held in the Riviera capital, paid tribute to him by broadcasting several film extracts this Saturday, October 5 during the closing ceremony. Gérard Jugnot, great friend of Michel Blanc, was present. He appeared devastated, moved to tears, then stood up. The entire room applauded.

The two actors had been friends for many years. At the microphone of RTLGérard Jugnot, expressed himself: “It’s a blow of a club, it’s very sudden. Everything was fine,” he assured.

Funeral planned for this Thursday

Although he explains that they “did not see each other often”, reunions always happened “with a lot of fun and derision”. “There, an iceberg hit the boat,” concluded the actor.

The funeral of Michel Blanc will take place this Thursday, October 10 at 2 p.m. at the Saint-Eustache church in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. Of the celebrities will obviously be present but the list has not been revealed.
