The return of Shakira is less impactful than expected. After seven years of absence, the Colombian superstar released his new album “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” at the beginning of the year, compiling his latest hits like “TQG”, “Te Felicito” and especially “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53” (1 billion streams). Except that the record, which allowed her to raise her head after her stormy divorce from Gerard Piqué, did not have the expected success. It only reached the top 10 in four countries before crashing down the charts. In , where Shakira is nevertheless very popular, the album has hardly exceeded the milestone of 10,000 copies sold. Despite everything, she will be able to sing her hits “Whenever, Wherever”, “Waka Waka” or “Hips Don’t Lie” during a major tour which will begin on November 2 in the United States, before stopping off in the most major stadiums in Latin America at the beginning of 2025. And despite the price of seats which makes the public jump, tickets are snapped up. Before his big return to Europe after six years of absence?

“Being single is great”

While waiting for potential concerts in France, Shakira intends to ward off the bad luck of the disappointing sales of his record. To get back to the top, the 47-year-old singer unveils the unreleased single “Soltera”, very autobiographical. And for good reason: on this Latin and sunny single, the star celebrates her single life and her newfound freedom. “ I’m allowed to misbehave if I want to have fun / I’m free now and I can do what I want / Being single is great » she proclaims loud and clear in the song while on the cover of the single, she appears toasting with her friends, who are none other than the Brazilian superstar Anitta, the Venezuelan YouTuber Lele Pons and the Argentinian singer Tini , during an evening.

In a recent interview, the “Punteria” singer spoke about the extent to which her separation from Gerard Piqué, whom she accuses of adultery, was cathartic and allowed her to get back to work: “ I tried to bring out as many things as possible from this traumatic experience in order to sublimate them. Elaborating my own frustration, my anger and transforming it into something productive and resilience ».
