Raphaël Elmaleh, son of comedian Gad Elmaleh and Princess Charlotte Casiraghi, is particularly gifted in this sport.

Gad Elmaleh is a French actor and humorist, particularly appreciated in and abroad. The man is also the father of little Raphaël, now ten years old, and who is the pride of his father and his mother, Charlotte Casiraghi, daughter of the Princess of Monaco. Despite the breakup between the two parents, the relationship remains good for the young man’s well-being.

“I have a lot of respect for my son’s family, with whom I have good relationships. And I’m not telling you this out of diplomacy,” Gad Elmaleh said a few years ago following his separation, recorded in 2015 after four years of relationship. The young man, protected and discreet in the media, obviously lives in the Principality, which allows him to flourish in a sport typical of the Monegasque city, Pàijeda, a sport invented in Monaco which is a kind of art martial.

Created in 2020, Pàijeda is indeed a sporting discipline of defense (sport d’a defesa) and combat (sport di cumbatimentu), using referenced techniques of defense, percussion (boxing with the upper and lower limbs or dummy stick in foam), gripping or seizures (bringing to the ground, projections, immobilization, keys, strangulations, pressure points), standing and on the ground.

The son of Gad Elmaleh and Charlotte Casiraghi took part in a pàijeda competition a few months ago in the presence of Prince Albert II of Monaco, bringing together around a hundred competitors. According to information from Monaco MatinRaphaël Elmaleh has placed on the podium several times. He obtained the silver medal during the Assault discipline, in the junior category, and placed third after demonstrating his technical skills.

For the record (or big) story, the founder of this sport is Claude Pouget, who was an officer in the Monegasque Police for around thirty years, notably serving as head of an elite unit and trainer (self-defense and self-defense).
