Writing and recording this album was rather complicated for the 51-year-old singer. His mother, the singer and performer, Francoise Hardy died on June 11, which greatly upset Thomas Dutronc. “We avoid the subject of my mother”

In the interview given to Galathe musician also took the opportunity to give news of his father, Jacques Dutronc, for whom he worries every day. The death of his mother remains a big taboo among them: “It’s a Dutronc. He doesn’t say anything. We avoid the subject of my mother. We talk about other, more mundane things. I’m not even sure if he listened to my album. I have to send it to him“, explains Thomas Dutronc.

And to add: “Sometimes I say to myself: ‘Fuck, if he leaves too…'”.

In an interview with Le Figaro at the beginning of September, the singer nevertheless gave reassuring news about his father: “He doesn’t move much when it’s hot, it’s bad for his heart. Otherwise he’s fine“, he clarified.
